Your annual PTA membership strengthens the PTA’s ability to drive state legislative issues that impact our children and their education such as smaller class sizes and increased state funding (Every 100 PTA members give us one State PTA Voting Delegate). The membership fee goes towards supporting the PTA advocacy infrastructure at the council, region, and state PTA levels.
At Moorlands Elementary, being a PTA member provides you an opportunity to get to know the larger community around you. It also allows you to support an organization that raises money to provide educational enrichment for our students such as art docent, emergency preparation at the school, Math Challenge program, field day and more!

Volunteering to work with Moorlands Elementary PTA requires you to be a member; however, being a member does not require you to volunteer or attend meetings. General meetings are optional but encouraged for anyone interested in the well being of Moorlands students and teachers, and will keep you informed of current opportunities to engage, advocate or volunteer on behalf of our school community.
Anyone interested in supporting the Moorlands Elementary PTA may join! That means Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and community members! You do not need to live in WA to join either.
