Quinn's February Updates

Doing something new can be scary. Will the commitment be too much? Will I like the people I meet? What if they don’t like me? What if I have no idea what I am doing? The questions and worries can be endless. Often, though,  the leap to try something new can be very rewarding. 

When I took on this position as PTA President, I had all the worries I listed above. I work part time, have a preschooler at home, extra curricular commitments, and I don’t like to stay up late! However, it looked like I was the only one who wanted the position and I knew without the PTA, the funding the school needs for so many critical programs would fall through. So I took the leap.

I AM SO GLAD I DID! I loooooove being PTA president! I love the people I work with on the board. I love helping to facilitate programs and events. I love meeting families at the school. I love working with the school staff, teachers and administration. Do I love every meeting? Honestly, no, but hey nothing is perfect. 

Why write about this now? We have some open positions with the PTA  coming up for next year and I want to encourage you to take a look at the list and if something seems even a little interesting, take that leap! We want you, we need you, to be a part of this community and help Moorlands be amazing!
